The Diamond® “Q” Span Clamp is used in CATV drop installations to provide drop wire takeoffs along the span and relieve tension on the drop wire at this point. The Diamond “Q” Span Clamp was developed primarily for drop installations in the CATV industry. All components are manufactured from high quality steel and are corrosion resistant due to Diamond’s quality galvanizing process. The 1/4” pigtail hook has a deep bend for better retention of the drop wire or wire grip. The positive clamping action insures against slippage on the messenger strand, usually caused by vibration or wind dance.
