Module Harness, double-ended 8-fiber harness with 8x integrated 1:4 PLC splitters, 8x splitters per assembly and 32x output ports, 96 output ports per 1U splitter chassis
The 1:4 splitter harness connects the OLT transmission equipment to the Feeder ODF in the Central Office/POP of a FTTH network. The harness is custom-made to match the ports of the OLT so that a fast installation can be made without the need to store excess patch cords in the equipment rack.
1:4 splitters are cleverly integrated into modules at the other end of the assembly so that each transmission signal from the OLT can be split four times before it is patched to the Feeder ODF system. Splitters are fusion spliced to pigtails inside of the module so that the optical loss is minimized. Splitter modules can be front-loaded into a high-density chassis system that can accommodate 3 x splitter harnesses (12 x modules).
Patch cords can be used to connect the splitter outputs at the front of the modules to ports on the Feeder ODF so that a high degree of flexibility can be made when connecting OLT ports to Feeder ports. This also allows P2P patch cords to connect from the OLT to the Feeder ODF while bypassing the splitter.
The harness is custom-made to match the ports of the OLT (Nokia FX-16 *) so that a fast installation can be made without the need to store excess patch cords in the equipment rack.
